Well. I have been diagnosed for a little over a year now with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Since then, I have delayed taking any sort of medication. Mostly because of 'lil Tanner man.
BUT--alas--
it has become necessary to take something, and since I am nursing, I can't take any of the drugs that they typically perscribe...so...they are putting me on Prednisone (which is a steroid.)
I am juicing. I'm taking ROIDS.
Is that even what they say? I don't really know "gym" lingo. Maybe I will call Barry and ask him.
The side effects include-
WEIGHT GAIN,
PERSONALITY CHANGES
FACIAL HAIR....
ahhhhhh. Really, like I need some more things wrong. Thanks a lot.
YIKES.
It is a small dose, so hopefully none of this happens--but maybe if I am lucky, I can end up looking like this hot mamma above...Wink.

When my eye doc told me I'd have to go on steroids for my episcleritis, I almost had a heart attack. Luckily, it was just steroid (prednisone) eye drops. BUT, Tish, the good thing is that you're not on "roids", likely just prednisone. There are many types of steroids, and those roids are anabolic and hormone steroids. Prednisone is a mineralcorticoid that has different effects and probably won't cause a hairy face or mood swings, but may cause weight gain (especially in the face) and high blood sugar. Sorry this is a pharmacy lesson, but I thought it may soothe your mind a little.
She must be the scariest tranny on the weightlifting circuit!
Well maybe you can make a waterpolo come back for the 2012 olympics.
What's wrong with a little "muscle"? Now you can kick D's butt in armwrestling :)
