Valentines day 2002-- Darren created a beautiful candelit dinner, with rose petals at the door...
AND I MADE FUN OF IT.
Valentines day 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006-- I cannot even REMEMBER!
Valentines day 2007-- my year to plan (we switch off every year -anniversary/v-day.)
I FORGOT TO PLAN, AND WE ENDED UP TAGGING ALONG WITH FRIENDS.
Valentines day 2009-- my year to plan again (and potentially redeem myself...)
IT SNOWED, AND WE PLAYED GAMES WITH THE SMITHS AND KLEINS...THAT INCLUDES DARREN HAVING TO SHOVEL US IN AND OUT, ONE OF HIS MOST HATED ACTIVITIES. The stew was yummy though, thanks Karen!

And that pic of Darren and that other guy (looks like Darren's brother)...with his hand on the leg....What a great picture. I couldn't help but chuckle.
FRIENDS!!!! I just realized that we only live like an hour away from you!!! Here I was sad and lonely because I am friendless in Sacramento and all this time I just needed to get onto your blog and discover you live in Nor Cal.... amazing.... we need to get together. I can only rock the no-friend-just-moved -look for so long.

Don't feel bad, I think it's silly to show your love only once a year, anyway. Maybe your like us and don't feel a pressing need to go out of your way to prove that you love your sweetheart, when you already show it everyday, anyway. I mean really... is a candlelit dinner going to make or break our marriage?... I think not.
