I cannot believe that it has been a week!
So-LONG story short--We celebrated a very quiet new years at Blake and Breanne's, returned home--got in bed around 2 a.m., and my water broke. It was crazy, so we went to the hospital, and were admitted--around 11:00 a.m., I was enduced. Around 1:00 p.m., I was given a "wiff" of pitocin (a very little amount), at 3:00 p.m. they gave me a bit more, and by 7:02--Tanner was here. It was not bad. About 4-5 hours of labor, and 15 minutes of pushing. I guess I could do that again...although, in the moment--I was NOT going to EVER subject myself to that. I didn't take any med's for the pain--but can completely see why people do. It HURTS really bad. Ha ha ha. That is an understatement. My whole family was there, and that made a huge difference, each had a 'job' and in a lot of ways "labored" with me. Poor Darren and Tawny had to give me deep tissue massage for hours! I am SO grateful for my family, and how wonderful they are. Not only were they there when Tanner arrived, but they have been there with us every day since--helping in every way. I am just so BLESSED. What a great thing FAMILY is.
Since he was born premature, he had some jaundice-and had to be placed under the lights. He was one cute little baby with those goggles on. He is doing well now though, and we couldn't be more blessed to have such a neat little "Hamlet" as Amberli so cleverly called him. Get it--a little Hamberlin--a Hamlet...I love it!
Anyway--he is so cool, and we are doing well. We feel so loved, and blessed as we have had an outpouring of support and love. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything- the
e-mails, calls, visits, dinners, and gifts. We love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, he's pretty cute. And I'm not just being nice. :) He really has a perfect little face. Can't wait to meet him next week! I hope mom and baby (and I suppose dad too) are sleeping better.
oh my goodness! i have tears in my eyes! your little hamlet is so precious and i'm so sad i'm all the way on the other side of the US and can't hold him and love him and rock him while you kids get some sleep. so great that your family is there helping! seriously, what a blessing. oh my goodness. i'm dying over the picture with his little hands on your hand. and i love him in his little tanning bed. tanner's tanning! congratulations! we are so sincerely happy for you. we love you guys! can't wait for the bff-ness to be passed along to our boys!

yummy. So So yummy. Congratulations you three! What a labor champ. Now you get to be a dorky mom with the rest of us that talk all about labor, delivery, newborn, baby, kid stuff all the time. He is SO CUTE!!!!
D&T he is absolutly gorgeous. And our family has BEAUTIFUL babies, so we know!! He fits right in! Congrats again. I can't wait to see him!
