Halloween--so fun. Hilarious actually. The 70's theme went well. More to follow with pictures. Yes, I did dig out something from my own personal wardrobe as promised.
Election results--wow. 44. (That is what I am referring to Obama as...kinda like Christina on Grey's refers to her interns in numerical order.) I am kinda shocked, and then not at all. I am proud of our country for electing a young, black man. I am scared about his policies, and reform. I am scared for his life, frankly. I am scared for education in general. I walked into the polling booth (ahem, cardboard box) not knowing exactly what I wanted. I voted. I did my civic duty. But I was so unsure the whole time about who to vote for. What a CRAAAZY time we live in. What a time to rely on what is meant to be the guiding force in our lives. I am predicting, just to be predictious (made that word up), that we are headed for VERY hard times. Not that it will be Obama's fault. Just like it is NOT Bush's fault as to where we are now economically...but we should be ready for what I think is to come. SAVE YOUR MONEY people.
This is a picture taken from newsweek.com, of the panic at the new york stock exchange.
Prop 8 passed. Hallelujah. Glad to see that at least 52% of our state has some common sense. Didn't vote yes on just about any of the prop's that required state spending. We are broke, make due with what money we have, and get us out of debt people! We don't need fancier things.
Baby--89 days, EIGHTY NINE DAYS....what?!!!? I AM so not ready. I am in complete denial about giving birth. I am freaking out a little. My baby's first president will be the most historical man in political history (if you ask me). My baby will be born during a recession. My baby can currently blink its eyes, and have hiccups. WEIRD. My baby has no name yet, because naming a child is SO FREAKING HARD to do. Also--I have to have gestational diabetes testing next week. Gross. Routine practice, not a big deal.

I love this post! I agree with so much of what you said. But my comment is on naming your baby. Willis and I did the easiest thing and it worked out so well for us. I printed off 2 copies of the 500 most popular names from the Social Security website. I highlighted the names I liked. Willis had his own copy and did the same. Out of 500, we only had 4 in common. From there it was cake. Good luck!
I have a couple of comments- I felt so many of the same things as you about this election. I am proud of our country but not so sure about the president elect. I also wish more people could understand how little the president affects the economy.
Onto more fun things- naming babies- it is the hardest thing ever! It is even harder if your darling dearest is overly opinionated and hates everything. I finally gave up and told Alma it was his job to name the kids, but I had veto power. So now you know the wierd names our kids have were Alma's doing- I just picked the best ones. Poor Beckett didn't have a name until the day before he was born. Mostly because I wouldn't agree to Dieter.
