Long Beach
I have been conferencing so much lately! Last month I went to long beach for three days with two of my teaching friends for a science conference. We were able to visit the aquarium while we were there, and that was nice. Last week I was in Napa for three days, home for one and a half days, and then Monterey for four more days. I should be an amazing teacher after all of this! Ha ha. Really it is good to go and get re-charged and motivated to go back and face the terror of the real life classroom. Seriously--If I ever stop teaching it won't be due to the actual teaching that I wanted to do all my life--it will be because of the CRAZY people that I have to deal with!! I hate the public education system that we have set up. There are so many things that I would change if I could. I better not go down that road though...I will type forever. Anyway- Conferences are so fun and I really enjoy spending quality time with my work friends.

I do have to mention that it is RIDICULOUS that in the professional world, I have to SHARE A BED with a co-worker. Yes, I said share a bed. Good thing that I love Sally. We have "slept" together three times now, and all because the district has to go as cheap as possible! Can you believe that! Can you imagine your company sending you on a training and telling you that you have to sleep with the person in the cubicle next to you... Only teachers get this kind of raw deal. Rant Rant Rant...I am so lucky though, and glad to be able to go to these conferences!
