Here we are hiking the Sierra Buttes, which are about an hour and a half from our house. They are so beautiful, if anyone wants to come and visit, this would be fun to do! The hike lasted about three or four hours, but was no too difficult. It was a wonderful activity to celebrate our country and our freedom. When have you ever made a snowman on the 4th of July? The picture of the little, tiny, spot-between the two tall pine trees- on the top of the mountain is where we hiked up to. The pictures from the top were taken from that tiny spot. They do not do it justice. It was awsome! You could see all the way to lake shasta, which for those of you who don't know, that is VERY FAR from where we were. We hiked past four or five little lakes and had the best time. We missed Tawny, but I guess hiking through Europe trumps this...
