Hello out there! Heee-ll--ooo---anyone there..Bueller..anyone. Just kidding.

We have been so absent lately! Just so OVERWHELMINGLY busy, as you all are, I am certain.

Here is the news. Life is GREAT. I will give you the cliff notes version of the Readers Digest version of what has been going on:

Darren: STRAIGHT A student thus far, and only EIGHT weeks left, PEOPLE! wAhooO! We could not be more proud of him. He had a great Father's day full of meaty foods, and sunny celebrations, and church meetings of course. ha. He is so happy to be starting softball soon again. And to get a bit of a "life" back when fall arrives. His job is going really well and there is potential to utilize his new degree right away--which would be very cool.

Tanner: Potty trained. YES! Happy and a bit like the road-runner. He is full of bruises from head to toe because he is constantly falling over and running into things....doesn't sound like his mother ONE BIT! Ha. He has a rather extensive vocabulary and is constantly surprising all that meet him with his ability to converse. again....don't know where the chatty-ness comes from??? ha ha.

Tennyson: ADORABLE. So cute, and fun. Starting to talk A LOT, and almost walking. He eats like a human vacuum and wrestles with Tan man like he is the same size--oh wait---he almost is! He is HUGE. He is so much like what I imagine Darren was like as a baby. Fun fact--he poops more than any living thing that I have ever encountered--seriously--more than my rabbits...

Me: Well. LOOOOONG and stressful story short. I had multiple job offers that were all great opportunities, but decided that Grass Valley Charter was the place for me. I will be the Dean of Student Services, and Site Administrator as well as 7/8 grade teacher next year. The year after looks good for even more promotion...so we will see what the stars have aligned for me... My RA has been rough lately. Lots of trouble with infection and what not. Nothing that a LOT of cool drugs haven't been able to stop. I AM SO GRATEFUL for insurance and dr's and meds and a very supportive family. I have been LOVING the time off, and have accomplished a lot of little projects that I have wanted to do for ever!

Misc.: My grandma turned 80 last week and we had a beautiful weekend on the delta celebrating. It was a blast. She is amazing, and doesn't look anywhere near 80!!! I am grateful that we share genes. Darren's family is well, and we are looking forward to having all members living on one continent very soon. The dogs are good--and smell nice at the moment thanks to our bestest friends who groomed them for us this week! We are gearing up for some awesome remodel type work in the next two weeks--pics soon to come. I have been enjoying meeting all of my friends new babies. Mikey, Tawny and Taryn are all doing well. This fall will bring lots of excitement for Tawny as she departs for a year in ITALY! So jealous and happy for her. My parents are great as usual.

Life is really good. Always challenging, but it seems like we are in the "flow" part of the ebb-and-flow-cycle. I hope you are doing well, and can forgive me for not keeping in touch as well as I know I should and would LIKE to!!

OH MY GOOOOOOODNESS....my heart is melting. Really. That is the best thing ANYONE has EVER said to me.

Where did he learn that??? How does a two year old even know to say that? Ahh. I am still smiling just thinking of how sweet it was. I did have to repeat it to clarify because I was so surprised by it--and he confirmed.

The tooth:

well. Tanman has always struggled with that FRIGGIN tooth! Long, horrific, story short. He fell. It bled, it loosened, it was x-rayed, it is ok.

The test:

D took a test for a job. I took a test to become a principal. No results. PRAYING it all works out. SO GLAD THE SIX hours of essay questions is out of my life. SO grateful for Nananana and her amazing hospitality!

The storm:

three feet of snow. broken heater. 42 degree house. lots of shoveling. hating the snow. considering moving to a warmer climate FOR REAL--with my RA and D's (undiagnosed, but very real) seasonal depression---we may need to move someday.

The birthday:

not bad for 32. he got a massage, and a nice breakfast and dinner served to him. oh and a TERRORIZING TWO year old. sorry bout that.

random things i love, not the real deep mushy stuff (like the laughter of my children):

the sound of typing. the sound of my little dogs clickity footsteps on the wood floor. cold water out of the fridge. replaying a song. headphones that go over my head, not the stupid buds. Sorry-I am a bud hater. HAHA. That is so funny on two levels.

Also-this statement:

New things that I am excited about:

In reference to my new year's resolution here are a few things that are keeping the positive vibes going...

1. Mint.com. Love it. That is all this "listing obsessed" girls is gonna say.

2. Next month I take my administrative credential test. Yes, that is PRINCIPAL Hamberlin to you kid...i hope.

3. A lot of my friends are having babies...and more babies is always so great. I just went to a shower and it was just fun. How cool is it to be in this part of life. I am really enjoying it.

4. There seems to be this wonderful force creating possibilities for Darren's career right now...lahuv it.

5. Antibiotics. Thank you.

6. The 70ish Degree weather we have been having. It is GLORIOUS!

7. MY new play structure shopping--kinda forget sometimes that it is for the kids. I am super duper excited about getting a rainbow---pictures coming soon!

8. The fact that I am three weeks into a fitness routine, and STICKING to it. wahoo and yipper-eeeeee!!

9. My treadmill, because let's face it. I wake up, take off my Jammie's, put on three sports bras, and shoes, and run in my underwear. It is quite a scene, and I DO NOT WANT TO SHARE IT WITH ANYONE. Or shall I say SUBJECT anyone to seeing it. HAHAHAAHAH.

10. People in my life that are SO GIVING! My Mom and Breanne, especially, for watching my kids while I educate tomorrows future. I love them so much for being so good to my kids. It KILLLLLLLLLLSSSS me everyday to leave them, but since they are with family, it makes it so much better. And of course, my ridiculously hard working, intelligent, handsome, charming, serviceable and sweet husband. Who works so DANG hard for this family and nearly tears up when he doesn't get to see his boys for one day. I love him.

OK--THERE is something biological going on!! The birds and fish in Arkansas are no match to the freakish week that I have had. Not a bad week, just insase! I CANNOT believe how bad this week has been as far as chaos. It is crazy--I feel like I am taking crazy pills!!!

My house is a disaster, my kids have been crazy, I missed TWO work meetings--that NEVER happens---ahhh!

This year I am really motivated to make some changes in my life and STICK TO THEM.

I have been reading "The Power" a second edition of "The Secret." And I really believe it! It essentially states that if you give love and utilize the power of positive thinking, you will receive back LOVE and positive circumstances. It explains that life is made up of forces and that you attract to you what you FEEL and think.

Anyway. Lot's of positive thinking going on here! We are so blessed, really, that it is easy to try and stay focused on how great things really are. Happy New Year!

Go Go Giants

We were so lucky that we were able to go to the Giants season winning game last week. It was so SOOO fun. The boys did GrEaT! Tenn slept about 80% of the time and Tan watched and enjoyed about 80% of the game. We had a blast! Plus, the food was AMAZING. MMMmmmm. Tanner is still yelling "Go GO Giants" whenever he sees orange, or anything baseball. So cute!

I thought that my life was busy before. I really did. GENUINELY. It was not, however. THIS,THIIISS is busy. Two kids, teaching FULL time in a NEW grade level (4th grade for those that aren't in the loop), darren getting his masters, YW leader, etc. Yeppers, that will do it. (I have lost a lot of the baby weight though, because I don't eat (or pee) ever) One day, I almost peed my pants and realized it had been almost 13 hours since I had gone pee. Whoops. HAHAHAHHAH. (you are asking yourself--why doesn't she go pee????---well at EVERY break that I have I am nursing or pumping or driving to get to the kids and then when I arrive, I am needed....and before I know it, it has been 13 hours--so don't judge me. wink!)

Truth be told. I am kinda hating it. I usually like being crazy busy, but not like this. NOT THIS MUCH. I Laahuv being a Mom, and I love teaching, but trying to do both is really hard. I am not as good of a teacher as I was pre-babies. It just is true. I suck at keeping up with the housework, I am seriously going to drive myself insane with the DRRREAAAMMSS of decorating and improving our house the way I want- because who the HECK has time to spray paint, and stain, and sand, and wallpaper and tile when they are trying to wipe buts and grade papers and facebook young women that need a good leader, and all the while try TRY TRY TRY to sneak in some OFFICE re-runs. I got a new novel to read and then giggled when I thought about how long it will be before I can actually read it. HAHAHAHHA. Laughing at the thought even still. Ohh- and did I mention that Darren was called to be ward exec. sec. (a BIIIIG job in our church). SO I am a single mom three days a week. A single mom with an 85 year old woman's diseased body. Tee hee hee. Not really-I am not all wrinkly...well...

I have a stack of tile that has been sitting in our entry way for a few months now. Yes, Months--you read that correctly. I keep telling Darren that I am just going to watch a YouTube video on DIY tiling and do it myself. HA. yeah right. In my dreams (literally-refernce the above statement about going crazy---cause I really do dream about this stuff).

However-I am counting DAILY my blessings and so grateful to be teaching, and full time none-the-less because whilst D is in school, Mama gotsta bring home the bacon. Once again--- I kinda hate being the sugar mama. It could be SO much worse. I know.

On the very truly bright side, 2010 seems to be faring a lot better than 2009. I cannot believe how fast time is going. Tennyson is giant. HE is still amazing. Although a week straight of illness is really making me miss last week version of the little man. I love my boys. It is crazy the amount of love one person can have inside of them and not physically show symptoms of. I mean, really. It is so neat being a parent. He weighs about 15 lbs and is in the average percentile for everything. He is eating solids now, and coos and talks and holds his head up really well.

We have had a rough go with health these days. I pretty much would do AnYTHING for the woman or man who cured RA. I would really. I hate this disease. I also hate puking. Both of which have been a problem in our house this week. Darn.

OK. I should sleep now. Ooo. Or maybe watch the office. The season premier is on tonight, and maybe I will get to watch some of it?? bwwwaahahhhhaaaaa --yeah right. Oh-and just as a side note. I miss my friends. ALLL of them. I do not get to see any of them. EVER. I miss you. I miss hanging out with you. I look forward to the day that we can see each other again.

Tennyson is growing SOOO fast. WAYY faster than Tanner did at his age. He is huge. We go next week to the doc...so we will see how much then. Both kids are doing great, and we are having so much fun hanging out together. I even managed a full day of shopping-just the three of us- and survived!!

Darren is still really enjoying school. Just 18 months left...sigh. I am already tired of him being gone so much, and staying up so late to do homework. BUT--it is for the greater good. He is learning a lot of cool stuff and coming home excited about what he is doing. That is soo refreshing. I actually miss school.

We have been working VERY hard on our backyard...and it is paying off. I will post pictures soon. I am really having fun making it ours. We put in a bed of plants and flowers, a pond, and are prepping for lawn. Yeah!

Feeling good

Well. Lately, I have been feeling so good that I just wanted to say YIPPIE for life. Little things have been just working out for us, and I feel so HAPPY for the small and LARGE blessings.

For example--

my new RA drug that costs $1700 per dose--I will take two shots per month--is now only FIVE DOLLARS per month for us thanks to an awesome program that they have set up for me.

And--

lately, we have been able to see family more frequently than usual...this is so nice. (wish this were true of d's family-we miss them)

and--

we were able to correct a mistake that I made regarding our health insurance, even though it was past open enrollment!

..and--

saturday, we scored some small things at yard sales and had a blast doing so. The kids totally cooperated, the weather was good, and prices were low....gotta love the combo there!

most of all-

Tanner and Tennyson bring a disgusting amount of joy to my heart!

see. they are little things, but they are making all the difference right now. I am so so grateful for the little things.

Well. This sunday will mark 36 weeks (the point at which I delivered Tan Man).

Some interesting facts for you as we await the arrival of 'carlos':

1-I am almost 10 lbs. heavier than I was last time at this point. Yikes.

2-The baby is resting on my pelvic nerves, creating a seriously painful "kicked in the privates" feeling ALL OF THE TIME. nice. thanks for that.

3-I am not sleeping--this is just in preparation for the sleepless nights soon to come right. Sigh.

4-I am hoping to hold on until May 21st, as this is the day that would mean NO LOSS OF PAY for the rest of the school year! SO AWESOME that being a teacher no longer means great benefits and maternity leave and retirement---since all of those things now STINK!!!! Just to clarify--I get ZERO paid maternity leave. ZERO, Zilch, nada.

5-We are ready. (Mostly.) I cannot believe it!! We have done 99% of our To Do list, and now---we wait. It feels good to be prepared this time around!!

6-I had a complete stranger tell me to find "old drano in the tin can, and pee in it to see what color it is. That will be the surest way to find out the gender." HAHAHAHAHAAH! Loved it.

7-We have NO boy names AT ALL--so if it is a boy....ummm....yeah....

8-Dr. says things are "going" and that he wants to see me once a week to try and predict if we are getting close. So back to the doc next week.

9-I got stretch marks this time. Bummer. They BURN. ouchy. any advice?

10-yesterday, I accidentally wore my underwear inside out--and didn't notice until around 3:00 that afternoon---what a dork!

My girlfriend from work is preggo with her first! Soo...they got us together, and made us take this. I CANNNNNOOT believe how fat my face is. Hahaha. Oh well. I have been such a complainer lately.

First- I apologize,

Second-I had an (as we Stedman's say) epiphaMy today.

What if each kick and stretch and difficult night of no -sleep -due -to -my- largeness was all I had with this sweet baby. Then I would cherish EVERY bit of it. I would not be resentful of the pain and irritation, but grateful for the time together. Do you know what I mean. It is all in perspective I think.

I really need to think more about how wonderful life is, and what a gift EVERY moment is. I appreciate all of my blessings. Lately, life has felt a lot like a big, fat, hairy, storm... and I sorta have felt like this

"And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?" Mark 4:37-38

SCARED and annoyed that maybe we are left to ride this storm out, and it might not go so well....

but then I am comforted when I read on...

“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?" Mark 4:39-40

I am really glad to know that Heavenly Father has helped me out a lot more than I have even been able to recognize. Especially through the good parents, friends, family that I have and especially through Darren and Tanner.

I am just feeling huge. SO large.

With Tanner, I never felt like this. He was such a pleasure to host. This little one, is not so much fun--although, that is not to say that I am not in love already, and so happy about having this baby... it is just that...sigh...I am a WHALE. At least that is how I feel. This has been a hard pregnancy. I have some NASTY pictures that were deleted immediately due to the largeness that was captured---So I requested that NOOOO pictures be taken of me from below. I don't particularly want to share these photos with you, but I have had some requests...and I hate t disappoint. HAHAHA.

SEVEN weeks, or THREE weeks...or somewhere in between?? Not sure. It is like 50/50 for me. Half of me is so ready (mentally that is--once again, I am ZERO PERCENT ready for this baby to arrive), the other half doesn't want a tiny early preemie again, and doesn't want to miss out on an entire month of work (without pay--missing work would kind of be a delight).

On a lighter note. Darren is painting our room. FINALLY. Nearly three years of living in our house, and I am finally decorating it. I am excited to get that done. We are also finishing the kitchen--FINALLY--that has been such an ongoing project, and it isn't even a big renovation AT ALL---just some paint and such....but, alas---life takes wayyy too much time.

So. Tanner found a box of nerds, and before I could stop him...had them ALL OVER. Then, rather than save my child from eating A) off the floor, and B) pure sugar I chose to get out the camera and laugh.

Once I decided to clean up the mess, he realized what I was doing and began racing to eat as many as he could before the vacuum sucked them up. It was worth $100,000 if someone had been video taping it.

Ahhh!

I delivered Tan Man at 36 weeks....

Sooo...

I might only have 6 weeks to go. Hallelujah, and YIKES!

Even if I go full term (which we all hope so!) that is only 10 weeks.

I won't lie. I am SCARED. I remEMber how much it hurts, and how much the recovery sucks, and how much it changes your life, and how much sleep you DON'T get, and how much you want to eat Jack in the Box and can't, and how awful it is to nurse like 15 hours a day, and to be super fat and flabby and not fit into your jeans, and how hard it is...

I am also excited for all the wonderful parts though!!!!

But more scared. Hahahaa.

THIRTY WEEKS. SO CRAZY!

Things I want/need:

1. A carseat for Tanner----WAIT----NOPE! My super amazing parents helped us buy one, because Tanner had COMPLETELY outgrown the other, and yet, I was STILL using it...(my mom made me meet her at future generations and called it a carseat 'intervention.' I wasn't allowed to leave the store without a carseat. hahah.) Also--since the new carseat is GIGANTIC, and we are constantly switching cars and the carseat--my very sweet cousin is giving us her old one so that we have one in each car! YIPEE! That is a working Mom's dream come true.

2. A port-a-crib. Because I will have two napping children that have to go to a sitter's a few days a week, I need antoher one.

3. My Breast Friend nursing pillow. I HATED my boppy. It just wasn't enough support for my back and for my 5 lb. baby.

4. Diapers

5. Room storage, like a closet hanger thingy that I can put stuff in... etc.

6. ????????? Pink stuff if it is a girl

7. Batteries for my swing

8. A hamper for both kids rooms

9. maybe another bebe pod (bumbo) seat since Tanner still uses his ALL THE TIME!

10. ???

Tisha- Work is crazy. CrAzY. Just a lot going on, and a lot of strangeness to deal with. I will leave it at that. Also-by the Grace of God, and what I believe to be a tithing blessing--I have a job for next year. YEAHHHH! I guess it could change, as all things can, but for now--it looks good. That is good news. I feel mostly good though, my RA has been a little crummy, but when is a chronic disease any good? I mostly feel JUST SUPER FAT. I am getting chubby face--gross. I eat a LOT of crappy foods though, so it is all my fault. Plus, I do not exercise, I am lazy, ok. I also am growing a human being, so I don't feel too bad about it. I crave sushi all the time, mmmmmmmm. sushi....

Darren- SMART! He passed the MAT with a great score that gained him admittance into Brandman University. If all goes according to plan, he will be starting his Masters program March 29th. Yipee. Need a therapist? Call Darren in two years and he can help you out. He is actually excited about school----yeah----you heard me right. Excited about school! I am excited for him, and because I think it means we get to buy a new computer! 27" Apple iMac---come to mama! He had a good 31st B-day, well if you count a lazy day at home with pizza and a movie a good day, then, it was a good day. We plan to celebrate later--when Tan Man is feeling better.

Tanner- growing. A LOT. which is great because he has a lot to make up. He nearly runs around the house. He screams and shouts and is loud and bangs toys around. ALL BOY, I tell you! He is cute and fun and mostly in a good mood. He loves books, and food. He has six teeth, and they are HILARIOUS because they aren't growing in symmetrically. He has had a respiratory virus this week. Albuterol inhaler four times a day is SUPER fun! NOT. He hates it, so do we.

Tenleigh/Tayten- at least for now that is what I am thinking for names. Darren said I could name this one. Wahoo! although, he did veto quite a few names that I loved. Oh well. This kid moves a lot. And loves to settle low, and I mean LOW. I feel like a foot could pop out of my (well you know) at any moment sometimes. We go to the doctor this week, but everything seems to be going well. I took my glucose test today, and almost passed out. Gross. I hate that drink. I am still thinking girl, but then I get all unsure and can't decide. I am annoyed because I want to plan the nursery out, but if it is a girl, I want it to be all sweet and pink! So that is on hold until delivery.

The House- seems like things are going to turn out. I believe we are going to stay, and that we are going to be ok. We are blessed, and we have super amazing faith in paying tithing and saying our prayers!! I don't know how we have made it this far, and I don't know exactly how we will make it through the next six months or so....but, it WILL WORK OUT! the power of positive thinking, right!?!! I am going crazy with nesting issues. I call them issues because they are non-productive CRAZY remodeling and decorating desires that keep my up at night. I want to tear down walls, build a new room, and refinish floors and sand dressers and so on....

Families- good. Not much new. darren's parents are planning a super amazing European adventure coming up. My parents just came back from Texas to celebrate my Great Grandfather's 100th b-day. He is totally awesome and thriving-he even drives still! Wow. My brother is still getting prepared for the air force and finishing his senior year, and my sisters are working hard. Darren's siblings are all doing well, his brother in London has decided to stay another year. I hope we can make it out there to see them before the year is over.

Dogs- so much better without maggie. hate to say it, but it is true. She is happy with her new family though. Turk is still a jerk and jeter is the same as always.

Please allow me to introduce you to NUMBERTWO. This little pea in my pod is the newest "news" that we have to share. S/He is doing well, and looks nothing like Tanner's UltraSound photos...interesting! We did NOT find out the gender, but according to all the "wives tales" out there---it could be a girl! I don't care either way, as long as it is healthy! My OB/GYN believes there is a high possiblity that I could deliver early again--so HERE WE GOOOO. IT could be just three months away. That scares me. A LOT.

In Tanner world, he has grown TREMENDOUSLY. He went from the 3rd percentile in height, to the TWENTY FIFTH!!! That is crazy! One week his pants fit fine, and LITERALLY the next week they were like an inch too short! Good job buddy! He has not taken more than two steps yet, but he is close to RUNNING around our house. He eats more than I do, HONESTLY. MORE. Seriously--those that know him can vouch. The kid is going to cost us a fortune in food! He has about six words, and throws fits. yes, real fits---where he pounds his fists on the ground. yikes!

Speaking of our house. Ahhh, our house. SIGH. I still have no answers, but we are trying to make it work, and WORK it is!!! I hate Bank of America. Really. I do hate them. Anyway. I have no idea what next school year will bring, and so...the saga continues.

In Darren's world, he is loving his job, and doing really well. He has decided 100% to go back to school and get his Masters. Yea for him, and OH CRAP for us. It is going to be GREAT, but also a lot of sacrafice and work. I am so proud of him though.

We are down to TWO dogs, that is right, you heard me. We actually got rid of a dog. Sad for me, and REALLY happy for Darren. Maggie was not adding to the family dynamic, and so, she had to go. She went to a really great family, that loves her to death already.

Anyway. I will try and do better to get a more interesting life. HAHAH. In the mean time, keep up your blogs people, cause I read them, and appreciate your stories at 3:00 a.m. when I can't sleep!

Thanksgiving is over and we are slowly recovering from eating more than a human safely should eat. Tanner continues to amaze us with the amount of food he is able to consume for a 16 lbs little boy! Tisha just had me pull out all the Christmas decorations from the shed and for some reason I am still amazed at the amount of 'stuff' she has accumulated for one holiday! Still she makes the house look good. I do like this time of year because I'm not annoyed with the overplaying of Christmas music, people are generally in better spirits and there is just a better feeling in the air. The Christmas music is playin and the Christmas movies are out! I just won our 'finding Jesus' for the second year in a row ( for those of you who don't know, it's whoever unwraps the baby Jesus for our nativity scene wins a prize) and victory feels gooood! Anyway, here's to a festive holiday season wishing we could be with ALL of our loved ones!

We went to a Giants game last weekend with Tom and Stacy. We all had fun, and ate a lot. After the game, they let us run the bases--which was very cool. Tanner did an excellent job. About two weeks ago I thought I pulled my calf muscle. Don't know how, or exactly when.

Then my ankle started to swell up yesterday. Then redness started to appear. Hmmmm.

Told my Physical Therapist about it, and he looked at my leg. His words

"GO GET THIS CHECKED IMMEDIATELY."

So, I called my doctor when I got home, and she was not seeing patients anymore, so her words

"GO TO THE ER ASAP, we cannot wait until morning."

My thoughts--what? I just pulled a muscle. Apparently, I am at 'high risk' for blood clots. OK?

Two hours later (that is what happens when you have a double header and a baby), Darren and I trek over to the ER.

FIVE hours, one shot, lots of painful prodding, an ultrasound, and lots of laughter LATER--the doctor says THIS-------

"I don't know what it is. (long pause) How about if it doesn't get better you come back in 72 hours. If it is a clot, it shouldn't be deadly within that time frame."

Some of his other FANTASTIC quotes include:

When he walked in after my ultrasound he was reading the report and said this--

"blah, blah, blah,(having difficulty reading the words, can't quite sound them out-though he was trying) --I don't know what this means? I guess I will have to call the radiologist."

-Dr.-"You have an area of something about 4 inches wide."

-Me-"four inches of what?"

-Dr.-"I don't know?"

-Me-"Are you going to find out?"

-Dr.-"Yeah, I guess I better."

WHAT!!! That would not fly. Why is this acceptable?

Anyway. I guess I am ok?? It was quite the night. Darren and I haven't been on a date in a LONG time. This was the most expensive alone time that we have had since Tanner was born. There was a little show--not only was the Dr. something to laugh about. The people in the waiting room were entertaining enough to convince me that next time I am REALLY bored--I am just going to go sit there and listen to the CrAzY people.

Well. I am happy to announce that Darren has a great new job. He is working as a Behavioral Specialist for EMQ FamiliesFirst. It is a wonderful, meaningful, service-full, professional career. I am incredibly proud of him, and grateful to see him happy at work (finally).

I am working as an "educational specialist" part time (through my same school district, but in the charter school.) That is all I have to say about that.

Tanner is not working. The economy and all, you know, it's hard to find work these days...

The dogs are driving me crazy. Maggie especially. Anyone want her?

The house....oh, the house. I just don't have an answer. And for anyone reading this, (all two of you), you know me---this is the hardest...NOT KNOWING, NOT IN CONTROL. SIGH......

My health. Sucks. Prednisone=sorta helping.

Well. I have been diagnosed for a little over a year now with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Since then, I have delayed taking any sort of medication. Mostly because of 'lil Tanner man.

BUT--alas--

it has become necessary to take something, and since I am nursing, I can't take any of the drugs that they typically perscribe...so...they are putting me on Prednisone (which is a steroid.)

I am juicing. I'm taking ROIDS.

Is that even what they say? I don't really know "gym" lingo. Maybe I will call Barry and ask him.

The side effects include-

WEIGHT GAIN,

PERSONALITY CHANGES

FACIAL HAIR....

ahhhhhh. Really, like I need some more things wrong. Thanks a lot.

It's with heavy hearts that we temporarily say good-bye to my Aunt Judy. My aunt passed away early this morning after fighting cancer for more than 15 years. It's bitter-sweet to say goodbye because she will be greatly missed, but she no longer has to suffer. I am so grateful for the knowledge that families can be together forever and I look forward to the day that I can see my Aunt Judy again. She was so full of love and laughter, that it was a blessing to know her and be around her. My heart goes out to all those who know and love Judy. It's sad and it's been a long day, but it is only but a moment. I love you Judy!

So we took Tanner to the doc on Monday. He is so stinking cute. He got shots, and screamed so hard that he was beet red, and stopped breathing for a bit. Probably just the same way as I would react.

He is in the 3rd to 5th% for Height and Weight--

but in the 35% for his HEAD

We are really hoping that he gets this job!

I am still laid off for next year, but really, they say that there is a slim chance that I could be called in August--by some miracle--and hired back. So, until August.

I am back to work, finishing my 4th week. It is REALLY hard, but also very rewarding. I do love teaching, and Darren or my Mom have been SO WONDERFUL watching Tanner. They bring him to me at lunch and that helps ALOT! I have only a few weeks left, and then i am done-for who knows how long??????!!! I really am beginning to understand why Mom's do speed. It all makes sense now. There are just not enough hours in the day! I can't seem to keep up with all that I want to get done. I guess that is life.

I love this picture--because Tanner makes the eXACt same face as my mom is making here! hhahahahaha!

well...same ol', same ol'. we did celebrate green day in style. mom made corned beef and cabbage and all other irish food. i loved the meal, but of course didn't sample the meat. darren had the worlds worst gas afterwards. No Ireland trips for us! hahaha.

Darren is still looking for work, I am on maternity leave--at least for 3 more weeks. It has been so much fun being home with all of my boys (darren, tanner, turk, jeter, and little maggs too.) We are slowly but surely fixing up the house--perhaps to try and sell...we just don't know. Darren is looking into going back to school--maybe. We are just kinda in a state of limbo.

When I am nursing tanner, which feels like all day, i am watching a crazy amount of tv. I am currently obsessed with:

biggest loser, greys, the unit, the office, dancing with the stars, the bachelor--which just ended--(don't get me started), supernanny, scrubs, that new show--but I forget what it is called-about the author who works with the detective, celebrity apprentice...anyway--as you can see....i am wasting a lot of my life.

Also--reading like mad--at 4 a.m. when you are awake--sitting straight up--you tend to get bored. So, I read. I am LOVING a book that my cousin got me on raising kids. I also am enjoying some David Baldacci murder mysteries. I am just about to start a Jodi Picoult book that my m.i.l. let me borrow. So-read on i guess!

If you care about this ridiculous info. I don't know. but, I am sharing, and lo, you are STILL reading, so I guess you are just as bored as I am....tee heee hee.

So my parents left this week for an awesome European road trip (imagine the movie Just Married, hahahahaaha!)--so jealous---anyway...

When they were getting ready to leave, I was having some SERIOUS separation anxiety. I talk to my mom every day!!!! She is usually my wake up call in the morning, and then I talk to or see her at least one more time each day. She is my best friend. Not that I am not already JUST LIKE HER in almost every way, but I hope someday to be as wonderful and talented as she is. I miss her SO much. I absolutely cannot imagine life without her, and am SO SAD without her here. I was once told by my father-in-law to cut the apron strings...but truly, I am just fine with them all tied on.

She is the greatest Mom, and such a great Nana. THAT IS SO CRAZY, that she is a grandma!

I can't say how much she does for us, especially helping me with the house...she is the most talented designer that I know! Plus, she is just SO much fun. Really--she is the foundation of our family, and the mortar that holds us all together. I admire everything about her.

Darren gave Tanner a blessing at church on Sunday, and it was very wonderful...but quite emotional...we are missing two of the guys from the picture--darn! We were especially glad to have our friends and family there.

We had Darren's parents here for the week, and really enjoyed visiting with them.

Valentines day 2002-- Darren created a beautiful candelit dinner, with rose petals at the door...

AND I MADE FUN OF IT.

Valentines day 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006-- I cannot even REMEMBER!

Valentines day 2007-- my year to plan (we switch off every year -anniversary/v-day.)

I FORGOT TO PLAN, AND WE ENDED UP TAGGING ALONG WITH FRIENDS.

Valentines day 2009-- my year to plan again (and potentially redeem myself...)

IT SNOWED, AND WE PLAYED GAMES WITH THE SMITHS AND KLEINS...THAT INCLUDES DARREN HAVING TO SHOVEL US IN AND OUT, ONE OF HIS MOST HATED ACTIVITIES. The stew was yummy though, thanks Karen!

so i had this great conversation with my mom today, and this is residue of that----

Well...his campaign was all about "change" and already we have seen that begin. i am a supporter of change in this country and i think he is a fine face to do so..............

but people, can i just say that we are all in "high school of life" and he ran for class president on promises of pizza everyday in the cafeteria, lockers for every student, no dress code, and every other promise that sells EVERY election to naive kids. he cannot change it all--and we are such pawns to his incredible marketing! for example----this week my superintendent held a community forum concerning the budget crisis. parents, teachers and administrators met to discuss the budget cuts and what to do. (side note--i heard that many of the parents suggested teachers getting a pay cut and working harder---IDIOTS--let me go ahead and take a pay cut out of my already meager salary, but are you going to magically create 5-10 more hours in the day so that i can work any harder...JERK). anyway-the budget looks bad-REALLY BAD-- in fact--they have to cut somewhere around $750,000 at our school next year. (yeah-that much).

BUT---Obama to the rescue---(marketing!)---he is going to infuse the schools with billions of dollars next year-(so he says)-and save us all. thank you for that--truly. but if the billion dollars is there for Obama to give, why are we budgeting for a $750,000 cut NOW. because----folks---that is politics for you. they are leading us to believe that the world is ending so that Obama can be the hero. fine. i am not upset about any of this--but it is creating fear and drama at work---see---if we really do end up cutting that much money---myself and quite a few others are out of work.....

i wish that we could all just see through the political games, and run our country the way the founding fathers intended it to be. more than that, i really wish that people would be more Christlike--that would solve it all. i do like Obama, don't get me wrong-but he is in politics. and if you lay down with the dogs, you're gonna get fleas. you know what i mean

i am looking forward to seeing what really will happen. if i lose my job, oh well. i will be sad in some ways-for sure--but at this point---i am just living life one day at a time.
